How to Replace CRT coolant
in Rear Projection TVs

How to diagnose bad CRT Coolant: Note: This problem will just touch on the Greenish and Blueish picture tubes. The RED CRT is never afflicted, because the wavelength of the blood-red light does not promote this algae growth
Click Here	General Symptoms: Washed out, blurry pic, red portions mostly OK, GREEN images have halos, BLUE portions of images may have halos or be missing entirely.
1. Switch to a known practiced bespeak (go to a video input and use your DVD if y'all have a snowy condition from your antenna.)
2. Plow the colour level control all of the way down and remove the screen and/or the cabinet that contains the mirror. (different for different models) Do non turn the fix off or the color level control will reset to preset levels.

3. Expect direct into the flick tube lens while the set is on.
Click Here	3a. Kickoff look at the Cherry-red CRT. Observe the scan lines in the flick. These same lines should also be present in the green and blue picture tubes.
Click Here	3b. Later on looking at the Ruby-red CRT for comparison, wait into the Green or BLUE CRTs. If it is contaminated, it will await similar at that place is a layer of film that you have to look thru to see the motion picture. In that location may also be swirls and other various contaminates forming. If information technology is not every bit clear and abrupt as the RED CRT, it is contaminated, and you should change the coolant fluid.
After diagnosing, reassemble everything so that you can again run into the motion picture. Exercise NOT Brand Whatsoever INTERNAL ADJUSTMENTS TO THE TV Afterwards THIS POINT.
